Different Cutting Tasks. Different Assemblies.
Select the complete wire configuration for the application. A similar appearance or nominal diameter does not make two wire series interchangeable.
Rubber + Spring
Used in both concrete series: 10.5 mm beads and 40 beads/m. Choose General Purpose or Heavily Reinforced according to the structure and reinforcement conditions.
Compare concrete wire →Rubber-Coated
The granite quarry configuration combines 11.5 mm beads with 40 beads/m for compatible quarry extraction and block separation applications.
View granite quarry wire →Plastic-Coated
Granite block processing: 10.5 mm / 40 beads/m. Marble block processing: 9.0 mm / 37 beads/m. Match the product to the stone and stationary machine.
Compare processing wire →Spring Assembly
The marble quarry series uses 10.5 mm beads and 28 beads/m. Its spring assembly does not, by itself, indicate approval for dry cutting.
View marble quarry wire →Quarry Wire vs. Factory Wire
Quarry wire is selected for extraction and primary block separation. Factory wire is selected for stationary block squaring, dressing and compatible slab cutting. Confirm the machine, stone type and complete assembly before changing between applications.
Single-Wire vs. Multi-Wire Machines
The granite block & slab series is intended for stationary single-wire / monowire processing. Multi-wire slab saws require separate compatibility review. Provide the machine model and required wire configuration when requesting a recommendation.

Diamond Wire Saw FAQ
How do I choose the correct diamond wire saw?
Start with the material and task: concrete cutting, quarry extraction or stationary stone processing. Then confirm reinforcement content or stone variety, machine model, bead diameter, beads per meter, wire construction, required length and connection system.
What is the difference between the two concrete wire series?
Both listed series use 10.5 mm beads, 40 beads/m and a Rubber + Spring assembly. General Purpose is intended for routine concrete cutting within its approved capability. Heavily Reinforced Concrete is a separate series for high steel reinforcement content. Select by application, not by shared external dimensions.
Can I use quarry wire for block and slab processing?
The quarry and factory-processing series have different applications and configurations. Granite quarry wire is 11.5 mm / 40 beads/m / rubber-coated, while granite block-processing wire is 10.5 mm / 40 beads/m / plastic-coated. Confirm product and machine compatibility before substituting one for another.
What are the specifications of the marble block & slab cutting wire?
The Premium marble block & slab series uses 9.0 mm sintered diamond beads, 37 beads per meter and plastic-coated construction. It is intended for wet cutting of marble on compatible stationary equipment. Wire length can be specified for the machine.
Are the block & slab wires suitable for multi-wire saws?
Do not assume multi-wire compatibility. The granite processing series is intended for stationary single-wire / monowire machines. For any multi-wire slab saw, provide the exact machine model and required configuration for a separate compatibility review.
Are all diamond wires suitable for dry cutting?
No. The marble block & slab product is specified for wet cutting. For the other products, follow the approved cutting and cooling instructions for the exact supplied wire and machine. Coating or spring construction alone does not establish dry-cutting suitability.
Can I order a specific wire length or request a wholesale quotation?
Yes. Send the product or application, material details, machine model, required wire length, connection requirements and order quantity. ALSKAR will confirm the available configuration and quotation for your order.
What do bead diameter and BPM mean?
Bead diameter is the nominal outside diameter of the diamond cutting bead. BPM means beads per meter of wire. Neither value describes the internal steel cable diameter, and neither alone determines cutting suitability or performance.
